My Island Home is a single from their second album, Go Bush, in 1987 by the Warumpi Band. The song references lead singer's George Burarrwanga's home up at Elcho Island off the coast of Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory. The song is often seen and called the Indigenous National Anthem between most Original peoples in australia, Torres Strait Islands and related and surrounding lands. Recognized for its leragacy the song was awarded several awards in 95 and 2001.
